Outdoor Recreation

Recreation at The Woods doesn’t stop at Great Golf. Other outdoor recreation includes two 25-meter pools, tennis courts, pickleball court, basketball/volleyball courts, softball field, and catch-and-release fishing. Many residents prefer to spend their leisure time walking or jogging the many miles of lightly traveled country roads surrounding The Woods.

The adjoining Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area contains more than 75 miles of hiking trails and a 205-acre fishing lake. Hiking trail maps are readily available at the front desk. Guests may also fish in our Walden Pond or Sylvan Lake at the golf course.

The Woods’ indoor sports center provide rainy day and winter recreational activity. Our Sports Center houses a heated swimming pool and large whirlpool, racquetball court, a multi-purpose court for tennis and basketball, and a fully equipped exercise room.
