HEDGESVILLE –
The key words for The Woods’ Tournament of Champions are always bigger and better.
“I always promise bigger and better the next year,” The Woods golf pro, Ron Springer said. “I think it’s going to pan out that way.”
For this third year, The Woods’ is hosting the Tournament of Champions, which pits winners of tournaments for numerous charitable organizations against each other at the end of the season. The winners of the Tournament of Champions tournament earn additional funds for the organization they represent.
Probably the most important bigger and better aspect this season is the prize money for the organizations. Thanks to working with this year’s sponsors, Springer has been able to increase the prize money by $500 for each of the top three teams. The organization for the winning team will bring home an additional $3,000.
